Has anyone had an interview yet? If so, how did it go?

I did not receive a call to interview. Other ppl at my school who submitted their apps after i did have an interview. Yale confirmed that they have my app as well. what does that mean?

Is it unreasonable to think that maybe they already know they want you??? I have not really heard anything that would tend to make me think that they pick and choose who they interview. However, it would make sense to interview people about whom they are unsure. If they know they will decide in your favor, why would they need to interview you. A rhetorical question, but just to make sure you are not weird.
Also, a lot of kids have mentioned getting in without an interview. My interviewer mentioned that it is not necessary to have an interview.

mel5140, I don't think they've reviewed the applications before they send out interview invitations. I received an email from an alumnus in early November, and I'm certain they can't have read the app, supplement, arts supplement, extra essays etc. in so short a time. The interview is an automatic offering, I think, it's just not required.

how many extra essays did you send???!!!

I was interviewed yesterday and it went very well. I only experienced one slightly awkward pause in the whole process and felt very comfortable.

My only problem with the process is that I had very few questions for the interviewer. I didn't really want to know generic stuff (ie: residential colleges, statistics), so I guess I should have more properly prepared questions for my Yale alum. It was a fun experience.

And, my admissions rep told me that they don't start reviewing any applications until December 1.

ya...i spent two hours with my interviewee at a caffee~~~we talked amost about EVERYTHIN~~~it was a FABULOUS experience!!!!
