Interview

Well, I just had my interview for Tufts and had a few questions if anyone had interviewed last year, etc.

Since it was today, Nov. 20th, will it even factor in to my ED I decision, or was it too late? I had all my stuff in the day they released it, the interviewer just had some trouble with the hurricane (I'm in South Florida).

Also, he said he had no qualms reccomending me highly, so I assume that is good, was he even supposed to say that? heh

Finally, will it actually help at all, I mean, can an interview push you over the edge at tufts at all?

I am interested in the last part too.

my parents interview (for tufts) and they say that its really just about seeing if you are a good fit for tufts and if you would be happy there.... they would never turn someone down purely on the basis of a good interview, but they have had some people they have LOVED get rejected... so yeah...

also it should get read, as long as the interviewer writes it up and gets it in on time... if they really liked you as much as they said they did, they will probably already have it in and it will be read

^ Thank you guys, any other opinions, especially to the last question.

Thanks!

Ben

my interview is tomorrow,...
what kind of questions are asked? what should i ask? what should i wear?

anything to prepare me would be nice, i'm pretty nervous

Well, first off, don't be nervous, just be yourself. I was just asked about me, what I wanted to do, why Tufts, and why I'd fit in at Tufts. You should probably think of a few questions in advance, but it won't really matter...maybe, something about the major you're thinking about, the area, I asked about my interviewer's favorite thing about Tufts, etc. As for what to wear, my interviewer specified "informal", so I wore a long-sleeve collared shirt, some BR linen pants...kinda like khaki's, and birkenstock's. If your interviewer made no mention, I would go ahead and wear dress pants, a belt, tuck in a dress shirt, a tie, and dress shoes, a jacket can be a bit over the top, especially if you're in the south, like me, where it's still relatively warm. Good luck!

ok, damn that's more dressy clothes than i think i own. how long did yours go for?

Hehe, don't worry, the only reason I have a lot of dress clothing, is because I'm in Debate. My interview was somewhere around 50-55min.

I'm going to start an interview thread... see there.
