For those who have applied to Georgetown: What is the alumni interview like? Is it a formal interview, or a more casual meeting for them to get to know you? What kinds of questions do they ask?

Interviews are as individual as the alumni conducting them. Mine really felt like both a casual and formal interview. It was a casual meeting to get to know me but it was conducted in the alumnus office (a more formal setting as he was president of a large bank) and, in our e-mail correspondance prior to the interview, he asked for my student resume along with SAT scores and a copy of my Georgetown application. He went through my app line by line and we talked a lot about Georgetown and why I wanted to attend the SFS. I had on my app that I could speak fluent Spanish and he conducted part of the interview in Spanish, no joke. It was a little unexpected and he was the only interviewer who did that.
