Just wondering how important interviews are. My interview was a question-and-answer session despite my trying to steer it into a conversation, and my interviewer spent a lot of time 1) telling me that going to Harvard is good and I should definitely go, and 2) that there are a lot of other good schools in the country. Plus, my interviewer was not a recent grad and could not answer many of my questions about the school. So, I'm getting very mixed signals about the interview and am wondering how bad it is.

sran...didn't you go to rsi? well, i don't think u have to worry! I was one of five kids on the waitlist!! DAMN!

sran, that's how my interview was. It seemed like every time I was actually talking he was just making me tell him stuff that's already on the application. But I'm sure if the interview report is useless to the adcom it won't be a big deal.
