Interview?

I had a question that I thought I found on the website at one point, but I am having trouble now. How is an interview scheduled? I seem to recall reading that they will actually contact us after apps are turned in and will help us schedule interviews, but this sounds kinda odd and I know it isn’t the norm. Anyone know the answer? I’m gonna keep searching their site, but the admissions website is really unclear and hard to navigate and I’m having a lot of trouble finding any mention of interviews at all.

you will be contacted by an alum who will do your interview, unless you attend certain prep schools in which case you may not be given an interview. I have been doing alumni interviewing for Brown for over twenty years.

Thanks! That's what I thought, but I wanted to be absolutely sure so I wouldn't miss out on an interview.

will we be contacted after both parts of our applications are submitted or after part 1? thanks! =]

Both parts.

ED interviews typically take place in November and most RD Interviews are set up in Feb and March.

drnancie- what do you mean unless you attend some prep schools?

They really don't mean anything in the admissions process -- i.e. have little to no influence at all. So don't really worry about the interview beyond taking the time to do it.

If you attend Exeter for example, Brown alums will not interview you. They have too many applicants. Last year over 50 kids from Phillips Exeter applied to Brown!
