My Haverford interview wasn't a lot different than my other college interviews. But I know that Haverford puts emphasis on the interview because fit is really important to them, so just make sure you're prepared to talk about why you like the school and why you are a good fit.

thanks for the the imput :)

Not very different from most schools... it's funny that they tell you specifically not to bring a transcript or anything, but my interview was the most academically oriented interview I went to. Some questions I remember: "How would you describe your personality in three words?" "What is your family like?" "What would you do if you had a year off to do anything?"

The one question that I got that I had a hard time answering was, what would the people who don't like you say about you? I just told the interviewer about complaints that my friends might have about me.

kate, that question is a toughy. thanks for the heads up :)

bjrwrh, when u say academically oriented, do you mean they asked about your classes a lot? or more geared towards your intended field of study? thanks :)

It was my first interview, and it was horrible. Completely unconventional, the interviewer asked what other schools I was applying to, and for every school asked how and why Haverford was better than it. I was getting so frustrated. It was seriously the worst hour of my life.

OUCH. That sounds TERRIBLE. My interviewer didn't do anything like that.

To Aldeya: both, actually, but we probably wouldn't have talked about my intended field of study if I hadn't expressed an interest in talking about it (she was like "do you know what you want to major in?" and I said "yes," and it went from there).
