My guy asked the same thing as Mollypockets except he talked a lot about how SFS could help me with my career path. He was very supportive when I talked about looking at jobs for the US Dept. of State or CIA. He was impressed more than anything else. We joked around too. I guess I got lucky with my interviewer.

ahhhh!

i got my interview card today. i called to schedule, but she didn't answer (i left a message).

is there anything i can do to prepare for the interview?? i'm nervous that they'll pull out some polygraph life test and ask me questions about when i was five...

ok not really, but i am a little nervous :)

it's alright to be a bit nervous. >.< i was actually really nervous and blabbled nervously a bit during the interview.
the questions are the usual ones like why do you want to go to georgetown, what you plan to major in/ future career plans. the one question that was a bit unexpected was i got asked about my school. apparently my interview never heard of it. -__-"

Is it normal to bring stuff like resumes to the interview?

Yeah my interviewer asked me to and then at the interview she quickly read it over so she would know what kind of things to ask me about.

Do you guys know when applicants that applied RD will get contacted about interviews? Is it after the early decisions go out, or are some of you RD too?

My guess is that they will wait until EA decisons are sent. I am doing EA and my interview is tomorrow so not all EA people have had thier interviews yet.

i think they send you an interview card after they've finished processing your personal data form...

i'm applying RD, and i've already had my interview...

to abena. I'm doing my interview tomorrow as well! But isn't it a bit late for them to be conducting interviews as EA decisions are supposed to be sent out within the next week or so? I fear this means I was deferred... :(

To ultimateslacker,

I had my interview on Black Friday. My interviewer said that the interview itself isn't extremely important and told me about two cases where the interview was late in the EA admissions process. He did their interviews in the morning, and in that same afternoon received their admissions decision (one was accepted, the other deferred).

^^^ultimateslacker, I would not worry too much about it. The coordinator I spoke said that the interview will be done in time. Also, my situtation was a bit weird since the first alum I was assigned quit to protest the Gtown's decision concerning Protestant groups on campus. Glad he was so passionate but couldn't he have done my interview first?

What did Gtown do with the Protestant groups on campus?

"Georgetown University has banned outside Protestant ministries from holding on-campus events and using the school's name, prompting group leaders to question whether the prestigious Catholic school is restricting religious choice."

Though I'm sure that Protestants will have no problems finding religious activities, this does seem very "un-Jesuit"
