Interview

For those of you who know the system and/or have been through Princeton ED, when do they contact you about the interview. How close was your interview to December 15 (or whenever you hear back)? I'm going to be gone for 10 days in mid-November, and I don't really want to find out that that's the time that I was supposed to set up and have my interview.

same question here:)

?????? anyone know?

Well, i heard Princeton interviews most of its applicants (over 90%), so in terms of practicality, it must be pretty early. I mean, if they want to read the interview reports from the alums and take them into consideration for admissions decisions, shouldn't they start as soon as possible?

are interview open book (the interviewr has access to your entire app) or closed book (the interviewr has no access to your app)?

Princeton interviews are for US students or for internationals as well?

they are closed book

how soon after we submit our application should we expect to be contacted?

man i can't wait for my interview

i want an interview!
also, when princeton makes or breaks our winter break on dec 15, do they notify us by email?

*expects deferral or rejection * :(

both. we are able to view online i think, but they send a letter in a mail as well.

so we can see our decision FOR SURE on dec 15 online? does it ever come before/after dec 15?

lol 1 day really wont make a difference

esp after 6 weeks of waiting

oh i really think it would for me. especially if i was expecting it the 15th for sure and it came the 14th.. or 13th... or maybe im just weird/really impatient

honestly, i would rather have it come later than earlier!!

it would be better for my mental state of being

But, if the decision comes too late, we won't have time to prepare for the tons of other apps for we would have lost our only hope

is this the first year they're implementing the online pin system?
kids were getting results early last year, at least according to the boards.

Any more info on the interviews?

ED applicant lists will be sent out to Regional Committees on 11/3,
then assignments of applicants to interviewers will be done by regional Chairs.
students should be called soon after, it will depend on your alumni interviewer's avail (e.g. whether she/he is around, & how busy they are overall).

The decision date matters because Stanford's deadline is the 15th. I'd like to save $75 or whatever the Stanford application fee is.
