I have mine Dec 1st in NY. has ne1 had an interview yet? Howd it go?

I believe my S enjoyed his interview last year in HI in the early fall. It was at his HS & he was interviewed by Louise Yates, Associate Dean of Engineering. Good luck--if you can, study the USC website & come up with well-thought-out Qs about the school that the interviewer can provide insight into. (Not sure whether my S did this or not, but the college counselor always advises such prep.)

i had an interview on campus yesterday for RHP (which would be quite different than a regular interview...) and it was actually really fun. not intimidating at all.

When/how did everyone set up their interviews? D is applying by the 12/11 scholarship deadline and tried to set up an inteview on-line, but it said there are no openings, to keep checking back.
Also if you could fill us in on what to expect for the interview...is it with a departmental person in the proposed major or with an admissions person?

I believe there is substantial variability RE interviews. Our S was able to sign up at HS for an interview & was interviewed by the associate dean of engineering (his field) at the HS (USC enrolls about two dozen from the HS each year, mostly NMFs) & always interviews at the HS but you have to sign up early enough to get a time slot.

Have your child ask HS counselor what to do about getting an interview; I'm sure they have other students who have had this occur as well.

i signed up online for my interview like... 2 months ago or sumthing
