Hey guys, I'm sure that some one has asked this before....but I just had my alumni interview today and am wondering how much princeton considers them?

Interview is not even required as part of the application so you don't have to worry about it.

It's hardly considered by adcoms, if at all.
Basically, it can only hurt if you clearly know nothing at all about Princeton and/or show yourself to be completely devoid of social skills. But even then, I think it can be a tip factor, nothing more.

^What she said^

My interviewer actually said that it wasn't a big deal and that it is just to provide more information for the applicant if anything else.

yeah, mine actually didn't even ask me about myself except for like 1 question. he said the interview was SOLELY to tell applicants more about princeton, especially if they live far away from princeton & didn't get the chance to visit.

my interviewer took over a page of extensive notes on me. it was at a casual place, Starbucks, but she asked questions that were specific but gave me the opportunity to go off on certain tangents to reveal more about myself. the whole hour and a half was mainly focused on me, with me asking about her the last five minutes...we talked about he eating clubs on the way to her car...each alum has to write up someting on your interview i believe, but if they didn't take it that seriously then you shouldn't worry about it at all.

Oh...bring a resume for yourself and give it to your interviewer (and maybe one or two supplementary things that they might like to see--like a paper you wrote or coauthored or something).

^^for those of you who have not had one yet...
