Interview

Just got a note from the engineering school on an interview. Is this a good sign? Applying regular admission

Have you previously interviewed with either alumni or admissions dept. personnel?

No not with anyone else, the letter came today with the name of the Alumni that will be calling me.

My son got one of those notes and was accepted at Bucknell. My daughter never got a note for an interview and also got accepted at Bucknell. So, I don't think you should be nervous. It was a very easy interview for my son, a lot of soft questions.

My daughter had a wonderful experience with her alumni interviewer. Her interviewer also sat with my wife and I for probably 30 minutes afterwards and provided us with information about the school, her potential major, and then answered all of our questions (not that we really had alot). We met in his office (a medical professional) and he spoke privately with my daughter and really put her at ease. It's not that my daughter was nervous, it was just his way of communicating with potential students from his alma matter. Sure, he asked the question "why do you want to attend Bucknell?" and others that were somewhat probing, but it was really less of an evaluative interview and more of a "getting to know the candidate" conversation that was enjoyable for all of us.

i just visited bucknell--they don't do interviews anymore.

Is it that they're just not doing any more interviews this year because it is so close to making decisions and notifications?

G

i don't remember why, maybe ti was beccause there are way too many applicants nowadays

Strange....I got the letter and the person's name that would be contacting them. But they did not call.
