I submitted my Early Decision application a few days ago and am wondering how long it will take them to contact me for an interview. I'm guessing that it will be sometime in late October/early November, after the final submission deadline for applications to be eligible for alumni interviews. Did any of you have an interview (ED or RD)? If so, how soon did you hear from Duke after your application was submitted? What was the interview like?

Huh. I was not even aware one could do interviews when applying to Duke. (so to answer your question I did not do one back when I applied, though I am from NM so maybe its more something you do when you are from a state with more applicants/alumni?)

I visited Duke a few weeks ago and asked about the interview. You are right about the time. The interviews are normally late October to November. However, not everyone can get one. I learned while I was at Duke that my area does not have an alumnus who gives interviews so I could not get one. I live in a small rural area though in Alabama, so I think the majority of applicants should be able to get one. Sorry I could not tell you what the interview is like. Good luck though if you get one.

I submitted my ED app about a three weeks ago and I was contatced very shortly thereafter by an alumnus. I had my interview last week. I was very impressed by how quickly the process went.

Thanks for all the info. I'm sure they'll contact me fairly soon (I'm from VA, so we have a lot of Duke grads around here). Hope to see all of you at Duke next year!

hey, im doing the same, but i was wondering if the entire application is due on the 19th or just the supplement. do you know?

Just the supplement (Form A), I believe.
