Was I supposed to schedule an interview a long time ago? For some reason I thought the college calls you to schedule it after you submit your application...

You need to call them to set up an interview-- you aren't too late yet but I do believe the deadline to set up interviews is approaching (and hopefully not gone by already). If someone else could confirm this, I think the deadline was either Nov. 1st or is December 1st

It's December 1 for Regular Decision and ED 2.
You can call or your can submit your request online at Pomona College : Admissions : AAV Interview Request

Thank you very much!

I would recommend you schedule an interview ASAP - depending on where you live, it might be tough to get an alum interview. It's all supply and demand.

Good luck!

Thanks! I live in San Diego so I will do an on-campus interview. I will call them tomorrow and schedule it and hopefully they aren't full.

Do you think there will be any alums in NYC?

Of course there are Pomona alumni in NYC - I doubt there are any schools that don't have alumni in that city.

And if you are a Southern California resident you are required to do an on-campus interview. just to let you know..
i scheduled mine last week--mine's on the 13th of December! Im so nervous about doing it but I am also very excited!!!

I remember my interview being very laid back. I was interviewed by a senior from Pomona, and he was really nice and helpful. :)

thanks, catsushi!
its weird, but i am actually very excited about the interview.. i dont know why especially since i quite the quiet type. so did you interview on campus?
and--this is out to anyone--should i prepare a resume? some people said that i shouldnt, other said i should, so i am not sure which adive to follow. I havent turned in any of the application forms yet, so i they dont have any information about me... thanks

I didn't give a resume.

i'd bring a resume if you have one- at one of my interviews (not pomona but whatever) i gave it to the admissions officer and she just flipped though it and kept asking questions on the things i had done- it was really helpful because i didn't have to brag about community service and stuff (I HATE doing that)- she just brought it up on her own. this wasn't the case with all of my interviews but when it happened those were my best ones :)
GOOD LUCK

I brought a resume, but the senior interviewing me on campus said that he would put it in my file, but no one looked at it much (that sounds harsh the way I wrote it, but during the whole interview I had it in my hand folding and unfolding it out of nervousness, so by the end when I gave it to him it was a mess... we sort of joked around about that)
But over all the interview was much easier than I had been expecting. A lot of tell me about your hobbies type of questions. Now with only eleven days until ED notification, I hope it went well enough to give me a nudge... eek
