hello,
I was just wondering what all of you people wore to your cornell interviews ( those who have applied and those who have been accepted). Did u wear formal clothes like a Suit (coat and trousers with a tie)??

i wore jeans and a polo-ish shirt (it was an informal interview, obviously).

yeah, it depends on where you go. something at least semi-formal would be nice though. you don't want to be in something uncomfortable too (ex: wearing a tight suit for the first time).

well i heard interviews were formal, and mine is actually in the interviewers office, so would it be wise to wear something really formal ?

^^^not a tuxedo... a suit, probably.

I don't know that you need to wear a suit--that seems a little too formal--my son doesn't even have a suit. You could go with a pair of khaki pants, a nice shirt and if you want, a blazer. My son's interviews were all in the local area but with traveling admissions reps and he wore jeans and a nice shirt.

thank you for all ur replies every1 :)

D ( we live in Atlanta) wore nice slacks, sweater and jacket. I would classify it as business casual and she felt very confident. Interestingly, the interviewer's attire was fairly identical. Good luck!
