I never got an interview for my SCEA application. Do you think they might schedule one now that I've been deferred? Just wondering because I would love to have an interview.

If I were you, I'd take the initiative and contact your regional rep to see what can be done about the interview. Our alumni corps in our area had over 100 SCEA applicants but I know that not all had interviews. Our coordinator's last email to us told us the general results (10 accepts) but for those who did not get interviews should be taken care of right away.

According to my regional rep, applicants who are to be interviewed are chosen randomly. If you're deferred, you have the same chance as getting an interview as another applicant.

Yes, but I guess it depends on the region. Our area routinely interviews ~90-95% of EA and RD applicants (we're proud of that). We feel the urgency for the SCEA people so do extra efforts to interview them before 12/01. Although some RD files had been forwarded to us, we shelve those until we get as many SCEA people as possible.

Personally, I'd feel MORE inclined to get this deferree an interview.

I don't think I want to, because my friend got one SCEA with the vp of sony studios...and I really don't want to talk to her (because I'll get too nervous)!!
So sometimes NOT having the interview could be quite OK...
