Who has had an interview? How was it? What were you asked?

Also wondering same thing - were you contacted, or did you set it up and arrange the interview yourself

Wondering the same thing, I just applied to Penn yesterday.

Hey guys,

I was interviewed and admitted ED for CAS.

My interview was November 23 (which is only ~3 weeks before the decisions came out)... a member of the SSC in my area contacted me and arranged the interview at a local cafe kind of place for that day; she told me just to call her when I got up that morning and we would meet then, so obviously it's a pretty laid-back thing.

Anyway, the interview itself is extremely casual; don't prepare answers or anything or you'll look ridiculous. They want to see that you can actually communicate. It lasted about 45 minutes; it was really just a conversation: why you want to go to Penn, what you have to offer Penn, your leadership qualities, etc. Typical stuff.

I believe if you're a legacy applicant you get an on-campus interview that is slightly more formal.

Hope this helps guys.

No interview here, though in my WashU interview they sked me what super power I would like and I said lazer vision. Then they asked me why and I stared at my interviewer for 3 minutes before saying b/c lazers are cool

I would've said the power to fly so that I could get to all the places in the world I would love to visit, and because geography is one of my foremost passions.
'Nuff said.
:P

Hhaaha. I love you guys.
OK. I would want the power to absorb your power till my memory of you fades away.
That way, I could be the policeman, keeping order and all that.

That question was a wild one. I think the interview would have ended that moment. I would be inthe hospital and that is the end of story.

SOFARSOGOOD. Thank you a lot. We will prepare ourselves.
How long did it take for a Pennportal pin and profile info to be sent to you?

For me, it took about 2 weeks to receive my PIN (i applied on oct. 15)

I have a question about the interview:
I didn't get an interview when I applied ED wharton, but some other kids in my area did, and I got deferred. Could I still be contacted for an interview in january or february?

yes you could, and u prolly will be, more likely than an RD. actually i dont know, im just guessing... but yes u could. i never got one =(

i think interview for RD is mostly only for legacies.....
