Hi guys, I was offered an interview for a chance to volunteer at a hospital, and I need some advice. Is there a specific dress code that I should adhere to? Also, how can I "prepare" for the interview?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone? I would really appreciate the advice…

I’m going to interview for a chance to volunteer at a hospital too and they told me business casual was what I should wear

Dress like it means something to you. Business casual is khakis, shirt, and a tie. don’t be afraid to wear a blazer though. Know the typical questions, know your ‘life story’, know your weakness because they will ask you about it, be enthusiastic about the opportunity, and it’s always great to make your interviewer laugh. Be confident and if they question you, stick to your guns.

Also, “why do you want to volunteer here/what do you hope to gain” is a guaranteed question.

Well I wasn’t informed of any specific dress code…

Do you think a suit would be overdoing it?

If they don’t specify and it’s too late to ask them, just wear khakis, a shirt and a tie… formal but not too formal.

Yes ! This is not a job interview ! I have volunteered for over a year now in a hospital ,and I supervise kids like you . I would wear slacks or a modest skirt , and a shirt with a sleeve .Sleeveless is a big no -no . Also ,your foot needs to be in a shoe - no sandals ! They like volunteers in a hospital who are friendly and outgoing . PM me if you have more questions .
