hey all, i was wondering if interviews are considered after submitting applications? i've interviewed at a couple schools but i still have to interview at a few more, but i don't think it will be possible until after the jan. 15th deadlines have passed and my apolication is submitted. will the official app. consideration period for colleges eliminate the possibility of having my interview considered in evaluation of my application package? thanks for any thoughts

At most schools the interview is optional...

It just depends on when they get to your application and how strong it is.

The colleges will usually have a deadline for interviews that will roughly coincide with the application deadline, typically mid-January. You should check with each school.

If they offer you the chance to interview after their deadline (and they know you're a senior), then I would think they still use your interview in their evaluation. It would sort of be strange for them to allow you to interview but not actually use your interview in the evaluation process, in my opinion. I just signed up for an interview at a college for after their application deadline and they asked me if I was a senior (which I am) and on their website they give you almost a month after the deadline to interview. If you have doubts however, I imagine you could just call the colleges you're looking at and ask them.

ok, thanks! ill definately give the schools a call to double check.
