Who has needed to interview after receiving a likely letter?

The alum interviewer canceled the interview when he found out about the LL. Still offered to get together to answer any questions, though.

Thanks. Also saw the positive comments on your book at Amazon.com

Son had an alumni interview post LL. Interviewer didn’t know about the letter; didn’t even know what a LL was. At that point the interview was probably optional, but he went and enjoyed it.

My interviewer cancelled after I told him about the LL as well. I kind of wish I still went, but whatever. It is not a huge deal.

Our student told the alumni interviewer about the LL-- in case his time was short and he’d want to cancel the mtg…and the alumni wanted to meet with student anyway–They had a nice breakfast mtg over about an hour.

My daughter’s friend had to have an interview despite LL … they met at a Starbucks. As far as I know the LL offer still stands!

Yes, I was offered the interview after being confirmed for a LL, but I went anyway. I told the interviewer about it half way through, and he seemed genuinely happy. He stated how interviews have virtually no impact on a person’s acceptance/rejection, so it’s mainly just for fun, interview practice, and the chance to talk to an alumni.

Kiddo’s interview was scheduled after she learned she would be getting a LL. She went to the interview as scheduled and the LL came up during it. However, the interviewer spent most of the time telling Kiddo how hard it was to get into the specific Ivy and advised her that LL were seldom given. Kiddo just went with the flow. The interviewer seemed to have his own agenda and didn’t really hear anything Kiddo said. Whatever. . . . It was a rather curious experience for her. lol

The LL came and Kiddo is over the moon as a freshman at the Ivy.
