how did everyone's interview go? did you guys like the interviewer? learn something good? long, short? lay down the 411

I haven't done my interview yet... this guy called saying he'll find an interviewer for me.. but never called me back...

Yeh, there was a guy that was supposed to come to our school sometime, but he never showed up, but left a note saying he would contact us... he never did... so I don't have a whole lot of faith in Pton efficency with applicants, lol.

I think it really depends on the area, I don't think Princeton has alot to do with the interviews other than they send general sheets to the nearest alumni group. All the applicants from 6-7 counties around went on one day to this building and they had a mass party. The only sad part was I never got my interviewers information to send a thank-you note.

I have not received notification of an interview although I know for a fact an interviewer lives in the area. My mom says not to worry as she believes my essays, recs and application clearly reflected the kind of person I am. Plus, my g.c. sent a photo with my transcript. Part of me thinks I am a clear reject but the other part says that they could not determine this w/o receiving my Nov. SAT scores.

I too am without an interview... and I really would love one.. I'm half-tempted to send an e-mail to the local HYPer club and request one... Godo idea, or should I wait.. Don't want to sound pushy... They may be rushed...

mine was really cool. she called me and told me it would be about 30 minutes, but it ended up being around 75. she bought me coffee at starbucks and we just chit chatted- (i wore a maroon button down shirt with olive green pants and dress shoes... for those concerned about that, it was perfect for the occasion). she's in real estate and my major interest is political science and the woodrow wilson school but that didn't really hamper any discussion- from piano to debate to the eating clubs. it was awesome; no one else will talk to me about princeton anymore.

anyway, the best advice i can offer is to know exactly why you want to go to princeton and be unique and prepared. i can pretty much guarantee that most interviewers (for any college!) will ask you that, and the better / more detailed answer you can give, the better you'll fare (i.e., no "it's a good school") answers.

good luck!

Glad your interview went well.

Yeh, a friend of mine got his interview and it lasted about 1hr30m so they are rather long.

I sent an e-mail to the Admission Office and they said, "As an ED
candidate, you should be hearing very shortly". So, hopefully, they are correct... I'm starting to worry a bit.

Thanks Capt for the update, sounds like you did fine! Best of luck to you (we know it's not about luck but you know what I mean!)
