Interviews for RD?

Has anyone been contacted by an interviewer for RD yet?

My D applied RD and was interviewed the Monday after Thanksgiving.

I applied RD and was interviewed Nov. 18th

wow... whend u guys send your apps to get such an early interview date?

I sent my app just before Dec. 10, and I haven't heard anything from office yet. You guys?

I sent mine in on the tenth and haven't heard anything yet.

Sit tight for a bit it's only the end of december. If by the end of january they haven't gotten back to you then maybe call and ask someone.

MyChainDownLow I sent my app in October...

Yeah, I sent mine in mid November and I have yet to hear from an interviewer, so you guys have nothing to worry about.

If/when you're called for an interview is going to depend on a number of factors. First, when you sent in your app. Second, how many people from your area applied. Third, how many alumni live in your area and have agreed to perform interviews. I know that when I applied (ED two years ago), I was called within two weeks for an interview... or some short period of time. I was surprised to even get an interview, because I didn't think alumni would be living in Vermont :).

Just for comparison, three people from my entire state decided to go to Duke (I think 5 or 6 were accepted).

I turned in the form on December 10th and got interviewed this week, but I live in NC so I'm guessing there are a large amount of interviewers (I know that my friend who's applying has someone different)

I really wish I turned in my stuff before Dec 10th.

Does the interview have a large impact on decisions?

So if you did not make the deadline you are for sure not gonna get an interview?

I think that's right. They were pretty clear about submitting the application by the 10th if you wanted one.

I submitted my app on December 10th and haven't been called yet, though I did get a letter saying that they processed my application.

My D sent in her supplement Dec 24, she was contacted yesterday for an interview. But I think we have a lot of alums here. She will be meeting husband/wife, both went to Duke. Duke is extending its RD deadline to Jan 12, so they may be extending their interview deadline too.

^Well then it looks like I wasted a lot of time trying to get mine in by the 10th.

Whoa, 10 more days to work on the app, though it's Common and I'm pretty much already done. Still nice of them to do that though...

I sent my supplement in on the 10th and I haven't received any word yet. But I honestly don't think the interview is going to make or break you... my sister had a rather short one a couple years ago and she got in. It's probably more of a "get to know a little more about you, what questions do you have about Duke" kind of thing.

I sent mine in by the 10th and got a call yesterday

now I'm regretting my action... I thought they wouldn't have any alumni in my area, cos I live in Germany... crap, I should have submitted it ealier, :-(
