Submitted 10/4
Interviewed 12/4
(Texas)

I sent mine in around Thanksgiving.

No call yet!

I sent mine on December 19 and an alumnus contacted me yesterday..unusually fast turnaround? Also, considering the fact that I sent in my application a day after the interview deadline, oops.

My son applied online the day it was due. He was contacted last week and had his interview this week. He had to drive 50+ miles.
His interviewer majored in the same engineering field he is interested in. Is this common? Maybe his interviewer was the closest one with his specific major. Good luck everyone!

Actually over30, my interviewer majored in the same engineering field I'm going into too. I think it was just by chance, though...

So has anyone been interviewed in New Jersey?

sweet... so ppl who didn't make the deadline can still get interviews, but it's just less likely to get one?

i live in new jersey

submitted January 1st and i got a call today (1/6) to schedule my interview. I guess I have alot of alums in my area.

Damn...looks like I should have dont my app online. I mailed it out so its going to take a while for me to hear back about anything.

I submitted my app on the tenth, and I have my interview scheduled for Tuesday Jan. 16.

I think it's better to submit app online because as soon as it's submitted it's in their database. My daughter was assigned to an interviewer over the xmas break - doubtful it was assigned by a person. If you mail in your application, someone would have to open it, enter your vital information in their database, then based on your location you are assigned to an interviewer. That could take a couple of weeks.

I submitted a few days before the tenth but still haven't heard anything. Anyone from California get an interview?

I've gotten an interview from most of my colleges except Duke, and I sent my app. in on December 1. Anybody from Maryland got an interview yet?

So I'm sort of confused. I just came home and my parents told me that somebody from Duke called, most likely an alumni. Apparently I am going to have to do a "phone" interview tomorrow morning, but the thing is I turned my application way past Dec. 10. Does anybody know what a phone interview is about or like?

uh nvm about the post on top. The phone call was only to set up an interview, which I will be having tomorrow. I guess I lucked out considering how I sent in my application after the deadline.

I submitted my common application in November, was contacted for an interview in mid-Dec., and submitted by Duke supplement on Jan. 1. I am local, though.

I submitted mine in mid-October, and haven't heard anything about interviews yet...

So has anyone actually had an interview yet. Mine is on Tuesday, and I have no idea what to expect.

Yeah, for those people who have had interviews, what kind of questions do they ask?

Is this an accurate description of how much an interview is weighted??

I always looked at is it can't get you accepted usually. But an absolutely horrible interview could get you rejected, an average-good one (probably 80% of interviews) just keeps you "admissions status" the same, while an amazing one could push you over the bubble.
