Hi,
I have interviews scheduled for the Choate, Taft, Lawrenceville, Taft, Andover, Hotchkiss, and Loomis, and was wondering what questions were asked during previous interviews. Thanks!
Andover mainly asks about your family, classes, school, extracurriculars, etc. (Same as every school that I interviewed at, pretty much)
My interviewer at L’ville and I connected over being injured. She had M&Ms in her office. From what I remember, we mostly just chatted.
Taft was similar (minus the injury and the M&Ms). I talked about my goals, disappointments, daily life, why I wanted to go there, yada yada.
Relax and you should be fine. Good luck!
Hi @Vox6666 ,
I agree with @stargirl3 & @dckx15 . I would add two other suggestions. 1) Get really clear what you are passionate about. That might be difficult to articulate or to commit to as a 8th or 9th grader, but worth the discomfort. Passion was a huge deal with my daughter’s Andover interview. 2) The other suggestion is to be quite clear and able to convey why you want to go to their school. They have a limited number of admissions slots and want to use them well, i.e. admit those applicants that truly want to attend.
Best of luck!
