hello, I had a cornell interview a week ago, and to be honest , it didnt really go t hat well according to me. I just cant shake off this feeling coz i felt that i didnt reply as well as i could and i mightve said some really stupid stuff :(. It wasnt a total disaster, but it wasnt half as good as i thought it would go. Now can i kiss my chances of getting into cornell goodbye? Does the interview carry alot of weight? so much that it would crush my chances of getting in?

this has been asked and answered before on this site - it depends on which school you have applied to ...if the interview was an optional alumni interview than it carries very very little wieght - the alum was to answer questions and give you info ..if it was for the Hotel and maybe ILR -?- and maybe Arch -?- then it matters...

Most interviews at Cornell are intended to be informational and really have no evaluative purposes. Although my interviewer told me that she would be sending a letter to the admission committees about the interview, I don't think the adcoms really consider what the letter says.

The interview is like an alumni contact. My D's interview was pretty lame. The person that interviewed her did most of the talking.

thx for ur replies every1

Mine was an optional alumni interview

it shouldnt matter too much then

It depends... mine (ILR) was over 2 hours long! Both of us did plenty of talking; I imagine it only helped.

situation of what someone on CC actually said during an interview:

"What makes you stand of the other applicants?"
"I dunno. Probably nothing."

She got in ED.

Don't worry about it too much

^^Hey are you talking about me yousonofatree? jk lol :D

As long as you didnt speak badly about the school or criticized the interviewer, you should be fine.

lol! Hi thekristen :D

i wasn't contacted by an interviewer but everybody else had in my school. Since I'm applying to CAS, should I be too worried? is it possible that they forgot about me?

no. since the interviews are done by volunteer alums, the person assigned you may just be busy or disorganized...alums are told to contact you via the e-mail address you used in applying so check that - we alums can't facebook you!! (jk)

i would say about 140 pounds

and and and ...

lol 5757, mine was closer to 160
