Interviews - "Where else is your daughter applying?"

<p>I understand the approach of bringing the issue of net cost into your answer (as well as how that approach might work to your advantage), but could this approach backfire? Are some of the schools snooty enough that they think students should want to come there strictly because of quality of education and think “if you’re basing your decision on money, then you’re not really a fit here”? Or do most/all music programs fully understand the realities of family finances?</p>

And if this school is not in touch with reality, then you should stay far, far away. A student should go where they are valued as an artist, not as a revenue stream.</p>

<p>My S has been asked the question about other schools at most auditions. he has been accepted at safeties so I don’t think its a reason for them to reject you. The safeties can be a real contender if the finances are way more attractive!!!</p>
