Hey, I haven't received any interview call yet from Harvard and I applied for the 2011 admissions, international. I'm really worried now because someone told me that if they don't take your interview then that means automatic rejection. P.S my Sat wasn't that great so I'm really worried now. I want to explain to them why it was bad and not great. It was 2200, but I had an appendix operation 4 days before it. So should I worry or will they call by some date? Any help? Thanks for taking the time to read and answer :)

Ok I know a lot of read but don’t answer so any chance that you actually answer? I really am freaking out here!!

yeah, I would say you are basically being rejected

are you sure?

jesus ofcourse NO! Stop asking silly questions…

anyone else agree? seriously? they’ll reject me because of the sat scores or what? I dont get it. i tried so hard…

Well in some cases, if you’re an international, you have to initiate contact with an interviewer (like I did). It is written in the instructions. maybe you overlooked that?

The countries in which you need to initiate contact yourself:

Albania
Argentina
Australia
Bahamas
Bolivia
Chile
Colombia
Costa Rica
Estonia Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Ireland
Israel
Italy
Japan
Jordan Norway
Palestine
Panama
Peru
Portugal
Spain
Switzerland
Turkey
Venezuela

Are you really that dull? Maybe a ■■■■■? Clearly spoken, it is NOT because of SAT scores.

@impetuous I’m not in that list, I’m in the other list (the one with pakistan in it). See the thing is they called everyone whose applied in my city (I asked my counselor and all my friends), I still haven’t been called. So thats why I’m worried.

@Boldyreff1. Yup, I’m dull and a ■■■■■. And I’m proud of it:)
Its better to ask than expect a lot and have your hopes crushed. Come to my age and maybe you’ll realize it. Your too young:)

No, sometimes it is definitely not better to waste your time by asking questions, answers for which can be easily googled or even searched at CC.

And you definitely do not expect a lot by applying to Harvard :).

Anyway, good luck and good that you aren’t ■■■■■ ;)
