<p>actually, i think they contact you as soon as they can, becuase i submitted my part 1 application about 2-3 weeks ago; and i had my interview today.</p>

<p>Your app is processed as soon as Columbia receives your part I. </p>
<p>But if you submit it relatively close to deadline, when thousands have to be processed in a matter of days, don't worry if you don't get an interview date until mid November.</p>
<p>You may not get contacted at all, since there aren't enough alumni in every area to interview every applicant. If you don't get called, it isn't anything personal.</p>
