Ok so since the application process has official started, I have heard of some people at my school going to interviews at various colleges/universities. Some have been evaluative and others informational. Since I have interviews scheduled that will be coming up next month I was wondering if anyone had any advice or could tell me what to expect or if they had any really good questions that should definitely be asked while I am there. Thank you!

More than anything the adcoms are observing your poise, confidence, & ability to orally express yourself. Good opportunity to impress them by just being yourself.

They will ask you if you have any questions. Have specific questions prepared with answers that can’t be found on the school’s website.

Thanks for the advice:)

Go get a book on job interviewing. The questions are going to be roughly the same, open-ended and with no “right” answer. For example, “tell me about yourself”. It would be wise to spend some time preparing to answer questions like these so that you don’t feel flustered during the interview.

One question you can expect to hear is “Do you have any questions for me?” This is actually a pretty important question, because your response shows whether you’ve done your homework about the school and have considered what it would be like to actually be a student there. If you ask something easily looked up on the web or that is already answered in the viewbook it doesn’t make that great of an impression.
