Hey everyone, I was just trying to be up to date on what to expect at the MOC interviews. I know that each is different, but I was just hoping to get an idea of some of the types of questions and whatnot. Thanks for any info or tips!

p.s: I do have an LOA, and I plan on bringing that to the interview.

The biggest tip I can give you is to make sure you have really thought about why you want to go to USMA and just be honest when they ask you questions about it. Alot of the essays we had to write for the actual West Point application and for the congressional applications, are highly applicable and extremely relevant to the questions they ask. Have a firm understanding about your idea of leadership and plenty of examples to support your leadership. Don't worry about it too much, just be polite, lots of yes sirs, yes ma'am's. Its never that hard once you've gotten your LOA. Lastly, good luck, you're already qualified so you must be a good candidate.

Read over your responses to the MOC essays and WP essays and keep them fresh in your mind! You have nothing to worry about!

Be alert to the fact that they may try to stick you with tough questions. For me they asked me what I thought about torturing people, and then gave me different scenarios for whether or not I would do it. They were trying to trip me up with each scenario to see if I would back down. When they ask about that kind of thing, just make sure you stick to your true beliefs. You can't go wrong there. Just go in there and be calm and confident, look them directly in the eye. You will do just fine!

another thing too, if any part of your application is "weaker" than the other parts (for me I had no Varsity Letter and my CFA scores were about average) be prepared to explain how you will remedy that before R-Day.
