Interviews?

My list:
Hopkins
Stanford
Rice
Northwestern
Cornell
Dartmouth
Uchicago
Umichigan

Should I schedule an interview with any of these schools? Would that help me? What should I expect from an interview?

Interviews tend to help. Many of these schools highly recommend interviews, and are more likely to admit those who interview.
Browse theough the school websites to see which ones most heavily consider/recommend interviews, or narrow it down to your top choices, unless you you have enough time for interviews for all these schools (which I doubt).

You should request interview from any college that offers them. Go to website to sign up. On this list, I know Cornell does, and I’m sure others as well.

Good luck!

You don’t need to request a Cornell meeting. You will automatically be contacted if there is alumni in your area to set up a meeting. Cornell no longer does formal on campus interviewing.

My daughter did have to indicate that she was interested in the UMich interview but the school emailed her a form.

Not sure about the others.

Your list seems reach heavy. Do you have matches and safeties?

Look at the admissions page of each school website. See if they offer interviews and, if so, if you need to schedule them or if the college will reach out to you. Interviews do show interest for colleges that take demonstrated interest into account. Note that some interviews are informational, others are evaluative. And I agree with @bopper – I hope you have some match/safety schools on your list.

Rice values demonstrated interest. Interviewing is one way to demonstrate interest. You can sign up to interview on campus or with an alumni. https://admission.rice.edu/apply/freshman/interviews

Is UMich offering interviews? The website doesn’t seem to say anything about this.

I’m also applying to NYU and I’m auto admit to UT and TAMU, so also applying to those.
