If anyone did the interviews? How long was yours and how did you feel about it? Mine only lasted 23 minutes which i think is very bad.
Mine was about 25 minutes over the phone. It was supposed to be in person but she canceled a few days beforehand. I don’t think mine went well but it was hard to tell because it wasn’t in person
Mine was about 25 minutes as well and it was in person, I was the last of 3 to enter the room and the first to finish their interview which did not set well with me. I speak fast and had prepared for the questions already so some answers had answered other questions. I think I intrigued the senior interviewer, I was also interested in what she did at Barnard and I think she had liked my questions as well. I’d rate it an 8/10.
@AthenaCA @latterin oh so yours wasn’t that long as well. that’s reassuring. i saw that it usually lasts 45 minutes so when mine wasn’t I got disappointed but now i think they were just tight on schedule. anyways good luck!! hope we all get accepted.
Mine was about 40-45 minutes. It actually was scheduled 30 min, but I had a lot of questions.
I should have mentioned that mine was over the phone
I think mine went okay! We met up at a Starbucks and talked for about 40 minutes. The alum was super nice so that def helped me feel more comfortable to share more about myself
I had one at the school in July of this year. My alum was really, really sweet and informative. I just hope that I didn’t come across as bland. I was nervous and tried to make sure all of my answers were well composed but I kind of wish I had let some funny parts of my personality show. Overall good, I don’t remember how long
I had mine in early November at a small local place like Starbucks. It was about 40 minutes and the lady was very very nice! This was by far my best interview that I’ve had so far, I really connected with the alum! However, I don’t think interviews matter that much because not everyone has access to them.
I had a Skype interview that went really well! Does anyone know how much weight alumni interviews have on the application? I know it isn’t as much as admission rep. interviews but I’m still curious…
My D had a student interview on campus that lasted about 35-40 min. She believed that it went very well and asked her questions about adjusting to Barnard and life in NYC while coming from far away OOS. She was hoping for admission rep interview thinking it would improve her chances of acceptance. @coffeebean178 IDK
