Would anybody like to share any interview experiences/questions/thoughts? I have an interview this Friday...I'm so nervous!

Same here . . . B has an interview Sunday. What questions do they generally ask, and what kind of questions should he be asking?

Harvard interviewers (at least those in my region) give you a form to fill out with info (test scores, grades, rank, extracurriculars, awards...etc etc)--mine gave it to me at the interview.
We touched on those sorts of things (what I do) but the bulk of the conversation was about Why Harvard (on his part and mine)

is this form to be given to the interviewer the same day?

My interviewer asked me to have an application with me so he would not need to take notes on everything (test scores, E.C.'s, etc.). There was no sheet that I had to fill out, however.

My interviewer started out by briefly questioning me about my scores/grades but the rest of our time was spent on a 45 minute political debate that ranged in topic from racial profiling to African colonization.

I suggest making a resume with all your stats and a list of ECs with titles. Interviewers generally seem very appreciative of this (except for my Brown interviewer, who looked at it and found it irrelevant, haha). Harvard is known for requesting stats.

My interview consisted of talking about my ECs on my resume and I asked a lot of specific questions about Harvard. I never even had to answer "Why Harvard" because I feel like it was integrated in our conversation. Don't freak out too much - my interview was pleasant, if a little stiff and scripted feeling (he'd look at my resume, askinig about an EC, I'd answer, etc.) and it definitely was not what got me in or anything. Just try to seem enthusiastic, articulate, and pleasant.

hey... just wondering how you all found about you interviews because i haven't yet heard from the school.

crazycookie89, my interviewer called me to notify me. a few of my friends found out they had an interview the same way. good luck!

hey.. you all can be lucky you had an interview, i contacted 12 interviewers from my country and nobody could interview me as they're all somewhere abroad or busy... i'm quite upset right now..

My interview was pretty nice. The usual interview questions - some ethical topics but, all are pretty open ended.

A Harvard alum interviewed me (a gruelling 90+minutes!) Most of the questions were pretty random:
1) What other colleges did you apply to? Why did you apply to THOSE colleges?
2) What do you think your father would say during a heart-to-heart talk with him?
3) What school would you send your children to and why?
4) Where would you like to live in the future?
5) What social problems fo you think your children will have to worry about in 20 years?
6) How did you demonstrate responsibility and leadership qualities in your freshman year?
Hope the above is useful and good luck!
