Was anyone not assigned an interview for the for the college of arts and sciences? If so, is this a bad sign?

hmm they said it was just a "informative session" really. I talked to my interviewer on the phone (we had scheduling conflicts, she was always out of town) and she was really nice and excited about cornell--she asked me a few questions, but it really wasn't an intense question-response type of deal

so i would say, no, it's probably not a big deal.

Well my interviewer called me, then never returned six calls afterward. But I still got into CALS, so don't fret about it.

but at least you were assigned an interview

my friend got in last year without being interviewed.

i got in cas a couple days ago. i was never contacted for an interview.

is it a bad sign if someone else at my school got an interview, but i didn't? In other words to interviewers choose who they are going to interview randomly or do they pick the strongest applicants?

in fact do interviewers even know who the strongest applicants are? does the admissions committee tell them or are they just given a list of everyone in their area?

i dont think it matters, I was not even contacted and I got a likely letter (tho I am hispanic and apparently all of us did)

that may be because there were no alumni in your area, but if two people go to the same school and one person gets it while the other doesn't, it may mean something else, or does it?

idk, maybe you applied late and your name is at the end of the list? or maybe the interviewer didn't have time even though he did get your name?, I have no clue I am just speculating.
