Interviews

Are interviews a big part of the admissions process? I got a postcard telling me to call if I wanted an interview, and I'm already doing a bunch and don't want another one. Will it make a deal, if not for admissions then for scholarships?

i was wondering if i should go for an interview also to improve my chances of transferring. Does anybody have any idea if i should so this to help my chances?

I don't think interviews are a major factor in admissions at Vandy, simply b/c they only have on-campus interviews and many applicants cannot make it to campus before the admissions decisions come out. If you live close to Vandy, I'd suggest you go for it . . . why not? It can only help out your application, unless your somewhat introverted and anti-social. Good luck!

vanderbilt doesnt consider interviews for admissions

THey said they'd find somebody close to me to give the interview, but if they don't factor in to admissions, then I guess I'll just hope for the best.

my daughter had an interview with a vandy alum last week. we live in westchester county and she had to travel to nyc (about 40miles) for the interview. she said it was a pretty standard interview.

**i didn't have an interview and the last time i visited they said that interviews were no a part of their admissions criteria but anyways i was accepted without an interview...so good luck!!!

Ok, well thanks everyone. I think I might do an interview anyway just to be on the safe side. I've gotten pretty good at doing them by now so it can't hurt.
