Interviews?

Does anyone when ppl start being interviewd? And how do you go about getting an interview with an alumni in your region?

I know that if you have the chance to visit the campus, you can call to set up an interview with your tour and stuff. If you cant visit I know there are a bunch of info sessions in September and October near me where I think you can schedule an interview or ask about them...

hey thanx =D

Also, once you send in the pre-applicantion data sheet (the application supplement) and the application fee, wash u will automatically set you up with an interview with an alumni in your area. alumni interview or one with an admissions officer are the same thing.

are interviews required?????????

good question ^ I'm not sure =/ but I'm going to do one anyway when I visit.

I don't think they're required but I did one over the summer and I think the more that a school knows about you, the better off you are.

Last year, we set up a campus visit for D. She was nervous about interviewing and did not "check that box" on the form. WUStl called her and asked if she would like to have an interview while she was there. She really didn't feel like she could turn them down, since they made the effort to call. She fretted about what to wear, etc. and the morning of the interview was so nervous she didn't eat. The interview turned out to be more like a casual conversation with an upperclassman who was wearing short, a t-shirt and flip-flops. He just asked her about her high school, her favorite ECs, etc. He did ask if she had one superpower, what would she want that to be? She said she was mad at herself for wasting so much energy getting all worked up about nothing.
