interviews

When I looked up my area, it said there are no alumni interviewers in my area despite the fact that I live with one. It's kind of strange

hahaha that's kind of funny :P you should probably call and ask?

How long after submitting your app did you guys receive the postcard about signing up for an interview?

I got it before I submitted my application and I got a second e-mail today

How did they know you were applying, if you hadn't submitted your application yet? Did you do that request for information form?

This is my first interview (its on Saturday) and I was just wondering a couple things. Mine is at the Alum's house, how do you think I should dress?? Also, do I need to bring a resume or any information about myself?

Thanks

my interviewr said i dont need to bring anything (mine's tomorrow!). i think it may be a good idea to bring a resume though.
i dont know what to wear either!! mine's gonna be at her office so i think im gonna dress up a lil... but if its gonna be at the interviewer's house i think nice jeans will be enough

wait so you guys all contacted your interivewers? and already know who it is?

mine is at this private school in LA...which is strange

Uh I have no idea who my interviewer is. I just signed up on Northwestern's web site. Apparently its in some Law Office, lol. I hope I get contacted by my interviewer so I can do a background check or something.

I dunno I think NU got my name from SAT scores. I don't recall ever sending a request for information. But I don't remember exactly...

yea, i know who mine is...i used the post card and found her on the website, then sent her an email. So anyone know what i should wear/bring?

How do you sign up? If it's not a address specific to each applicant, could you post it here? Thanks.

P.S. On NU's website they say the interview is strictly for informational purposes only and has no bearing on admissions. Somehow, I feel like this is a lie. LOL.

^ Yeah, I hate when they say that. haha.

Yeah, I got a postcard as well. I hadn't submitted my app yet at that time so I thought it was kinda weird. But for these interviews, does the interviewer ask the questions or am I supposed to? Gakk. I'm already worried about it and mine's at the end of the month x)

I got an email. For me, it's a big weekend being held in the city near where I live (DC). I actually had to change my interview date, but they set me up with an new one, no problem. Pretty nice.

What if there are no alumni in your area?

It's not my fault Northwestern alums don't flock to Chattanooga, Tennessee...

So if you're not sent anything regarding an interview, is there a way to request one (on the website)?

if u go to the website and enter your zipcode, you can see if there is an interviewer in your area

Has everyone who has signed up for an interview been contacted by their interviewer? I haven't heard anything from mine yet.

I haven't been contacted either. I think they just expect us to show up right?

Oh by the way, do you guys know how we can find out who our interviewer is? It doesn't say anything on my registration email.

what's the website?
