many colleges 'recommend' an interview, does this also applied to international students? and I heard it could make or BREAK my chances in getting in. so do you think I should go to America just for an interview?

Often there is representative alumni all across the globe and you can have your interview in your own country. Check the websites of the schools you wanna apply to

does an interview really help my chances in getting in?
what happen if there aren't any representative alumni in my country?
Should i go to America for an interview?
I mean it will be waste of money if I go to America and did a bad interview.

Interviews are not that important - it is rarely a make or break sort of thing.

^ Yep. If you have a chance for one - get it, but if not - it's perfectly fine.

Well, you can always refer to the Collegeboard website to determine whether interviews affect your chances of getting in (You can do this by searching for a school, and then click on "Admissions", and scroll down to see if interviews are rated as VERY IMPORTANT, IMPORTANT, or CONSIDERED by that school.) Yet, don't trust the CB too much :D
As far as I know, some colleges really rely on interviews; however, others don't. And, for a school that stresses on interviews, these interviews are likely to be conducted by an executive representative, NOT an alumni.

The answer is pure and simple, if the college conducts interviews and you can make it, go for it. (It will only help you)
And yeah, the interviewers (most of them, or at least as far as I have seen) are Alumni.

On my mymit portal, the name of my EC is given, along wih his contact numbers, and no email address. Should I like call him on his home or work phone? And what time should i call him. Im just so confused, cant figure out what time to call him...

Thanks :)
i'm just scared that i'll do poorly on the interview.. because i cant speak english fluently..

Fluency is not what counts, Confidence does.
Flibb: You are getting paranoid.
