Interviews

Am I gonna be invited to interviews if schools are interested in me or do I have to schedule them?

You should ask the schools directly to get accurate info on this. Normally, some stress interview as their requirement for admissions, while others make it optional.

You should find the relevant info on colleges' websites. If not, e-mail or call and ask. Some colleges will invite you for an interview after you submitted your application, but usually you have to request an interview.

99% of all interviews are optional. My college even explicitly stated in some newspaper article that interviews hardly ever affect admission decisions here. Instead they are meant to establish a personal connection between the applicant and the college, i.e. get applicants excited about the college so that they are more likely to enroll if they are accepted. (Of course this is not what the admissions website says about interviews!)

A few colleges put more weight on interviews though, and it doesn't hurt to request one.
