Interviews

I got a note card talking about interviews, how important are they to Northwestern?(I know they say it doesn't put me to an advantage but somehow I have a hard time believing that). Also are they formal(i.e. dress-up) or informal?

interviews are important especially if its a top notch school. i suggest you take the offer and at the interview don't dress up like you're going to church (no suits) wear what you normally wear: jeans (without any holes), t-shirt (a button up) and your good to go

Wait I thought Northwestern didn't have interviews...

Northwestern does have interviews

I got the card, too!

And anyone who wants to sign up for one, better do it now! Slots are filling up like crazy (and today was the first day of registration!)

After I applied, I received an email telling me I could request an interview online. They already had an alumnus, date, and location all picked out; all I had to choose was a 30 minute time slot on that date. I don't know if that's how it works for everyone...

For all my interviews, I've worn a button down shirt and black dress pants, except for MIT, for which my interviewer told me to dress informally. So unless you are told beforehand, I would just go with casual business.

a note card in the mail? hm i didn't get one- do you think this means that there are no interviewers in my area?
i guess i should probably call and ask for one.

I got that card as well!

When I checked, most of the slots were already filled, so do it as so as you can.

If i want to request an interview,
where do I go online?

Someone give me the site please!
I can't find it !

i got the card too, went to the website at 4pm and there werent any slots listed! it just has the headings (start time, end time, register) but nothing under it. uhhh what happened? i live in Kansas City btw...

I registered, but I when I clicked on select interview time, it just said "sign up for interviews" What does that mean?

Weird- there might not be any remaining spots.

There are not more slots, my friend called me at like 2 in the morning and we both got one of the last slots.

? shouldnt it go by the place/area/state for the alumni interview availabilities?
