Interviews

So if my ACT score is a 26, but I have a 3.95 unweighted GPA should I do an interview???

Has anyone been in this situation and gotten in???? I have really good EC's and my essays should be average/above average.

What is the interview like and what do they (admission counselors) really want to get out of the interview and find out???

Thanks in advance????

By the way...I want to be eventually applying into Calloway Business, if that makes a difference.

are you white? if youre not you should get in

Why wouldn’t you do an interview? IMO it can only work in your favor so they can get a better picture of “the real you.” If your test scores are low, don’t submit them.

I am white…so I think I should do the interview. What are they looking for in the interview??? Anyone have any tips???

bump…

bump…anyone done an interview??? How was it??

My D, who is entering Wake this fall, did an interview. She found it pretty challenging. All her other interviews up to that point had been “informational” alumni interviews, so she was unprepared for the serious tone. Her interviewer asked lots of specific questions about D’s academics and EC’s, then asked lots of follow ups. There were also some questions that seemed to be more about how quickly you can think on your feet. When D and her interviewer came out of the office, another student and his Ad. Offc. were coming out of the next office, smiling and laughing. I think the interview varies widely based on the admissions person conducting it.

That said, since Wake went test optional, they seem to be placing a far greater emphasis on the interview. I think a face-to-face interview, if you can arrange one, is better than the Skype or online option.

sweet… thanks for the info!!!
