Interviews

Penn Admissions: Interviews

How does one actually sign up for an interview? Or do they just contact people after they submit their application?

They contact you.

Thankssssss

Have they contact you yet? I submitted my application on the 15th and they haven’t contacted me yet!

I submitted on October 30th and I haven’t been contacted. Maybe they’re still processing it.

I’ve heard it takes 1-2 weeks if they want to contact you for an interview.

I also heard if you have a 2050 SAT or higher they interview you. That seems unlikely though.

“I also heard if you have a 2050 SAT or higher they interview you.”

Hmmm…not true whatsoever. I got a 27 ACT score, applied on the 15th, and just got back from my interview so whoever told you that has no idea what they’re talking about…

interview has nothing to do with stats

and is rather random, really

plenty of people did not receive interviews and were accepted

Lol. “this person doesn’t get an interview since they scored a 2020”

That’s like saying you don’t deserve to be spoken to because your SAT score was too low…

no MrSudden it was me who mentioned the 2050 thing. what i said was that if u have a 2050 on ur SAT they contact u via email for APPLYING to penn not for an interview!

Ahhh sorry. :)

I applied Oct 15th and have still not recieved an interview. I live in the Philadelphia area so do you think that has something to do with it? I really want an interview so would it be a bad idea to contact Penn asking for one?

it’s random who does and does not get an interview

and it’s beyond admissions’ control - so calling them up won’t do anything (it’s up to the individual alum in your area that get your name)
