Interviews!

When/HOW do we schedule interviews if we are applying early decision? Please respond ASAP.

You will only be granted an interview if you are a legacy student and your legacy will give you benefit in ED.

Nevermind, I found the real answer.

Geez sorry we wasted your time.

I seem to be finding a different answer
Not sure, though

"Alumni Interviews
Personal interviews are available through our Alumni Secondary School Committee (SSC) volunteers, who will contact first-year candidates after they have applied to Penn. Individual on-campus interviews are not available as requests vastly exceed our ability to meet this need. Although not required for admission, the alumni interview can be a valuable source for learning more about the University. In addition, we encourage you to rely upon your application for admission as a forum for presenting the many unique aspects of your candidacy.

SSC interviews for Early Decision candidates are conducted between November l and December 1, SSC interviews for Regular Decision candidates are offered in January and February.

Alumni interviews are offered only in regions with active Secondary School Committees. Candidates who have questions and concerns about the SSC interview may contact:

WesternMass is right. Not everyone gets one (based on how large and how active and available the alumni network is in that area). But they are definitely offered for ED candidates. And I know because I've interviewed ED candidates :)

Cool
What region are you responsible for?

So if you're applying ED and you're a legacy, Penn calls you for an interview as soon as they receive your application? I'm confused.

No, you don't need to be a legacy

pardon my ignorance but whats a legacy in this context?

Legacy: child or grandchild of a Penn (UNDERGRAD) alum, applying ED.

Only Legacy applicants get ON-CAMPUS interviews (not required)... if you are not a Legacy applicant, you MIGHT be called by an alum in your region (if there is one) who does interviews. These interviews are optional, and used more as a way for students to learn about Penn than for Penn to determine your worth.
