interviewsss

i have my cornell interview in 3 days…
what do they commonly ask?
Do you have any tips (tricks) for me?
thanks!

My best friend's sister went to Cornell last year....here's some of the stuff she told us about after she had her int:

What they ask about you:
- what motivated you...
- why you want to do what you're doing...
- what do you see in cornell over other schools, and other ivies that made you apply there?
- one word describe urself
- one thing you regret having done in life...
....and the regular questions that all of them ask about this topic...

For my friend's sister, they focussed a lot on her career goals, which happened to be business. They asked her a lot about her goals, what she thought of current issues happening in business etc. So be prepared to talk about your aspirations in life.

In terms of tricks, all she told us was that it's not as daunting as people make it out to be. The trick is to keep your cool, and try to sound like your thinking on the spot. Often, people will be thinking and answering on the spot, but will be so stressed that they'll sound cold and robotic. Just make sure you sound human :). Also, its nice to have some questions ready. Don't just go with one question planned, have a few, because the interviewer might answer some of them passing during the interview. Another trick/tip is to be friendly, and try not to let your anxiety show too much. Don't be SO calm that you look careless, but show them that you can handle pressure and stress nicely.

...and that = my $0.02 :D
