Intimate knowledge of Hampden Sydney?

I would also look into Wabash College (<a href="http://www.wabash.edu%5B/url%5D">www.wabash.edu</a>) It's smaller than HSC and more aline to your worldview.

After reading this thread n another post on CC bout HSC, I stupidly went n emailed the college asking bout scholarships n stuff before founding out it is a boys college. I hv a genderless name so the lady emailed saying thy hv scholarships fiting my stats n all. I got excited n all so I went to the website to read up. They even had some girl student who won sth on the site. So thn I finally FIND out later it is a guys college.
I emailed the lady again explaining n felt kinda of stupid. But it is a very good college. So good luck guys.
I messed up with the background search because I was doing a mad search for scholarships since I just heard back frm a certain college I applied saying I am not getting the scholarship I expected. If I dont get a good scholarship, I cant get into college.
Sorry guys n u are all excellent students to be going to HSC.

Actually I only read this thread after emailing back stating my gender to the HSC finaid lady. I read bout HSC in another thread tht listed colleges tht give out a lot of full rides.
She did emailed me later saying there are girls at HSC, the only problem they are kids of faculty.
Good luck with college. I think their pre-med is great.

HSC Pre-Med is excellent

The college has changed a lot in recent years, primarily as a result of the new administration. Academics are receiving more attention, and as a result the rankings of the college are improving. The econ program is great, as well as the philosophy department (the three professors who comprise that particular department are some of the most intelligent, caring professors I have encountered while at H-SC-one of them taught my honors seminar). Also, if you are into the arts, the professors in that department are really dedicated to the students, probably due to not having that many students enrolled as fine arts majors.
