Int'l/Filipino Student Seeking Financial Aid Opportunities. Help Please! Thank you:)

I'm an incoming Filipino Freshman, and I was considering the possibility of transferring to the Wharton School for my sophomore year. My problem is the tuition. I initially planned on applying for aid, but then many people have been saying that it is next to impossible for a Filipino/International student to be given financial aid. How true is this? Do I have any other options? Thank you :D

I’m an international and I will be attending UPenn on close to 80% financial aid next year. However, from what I’ve heard, I might be an exception.

UPenn is need-blind, full aid to people from the US, Mexico or Canada. I don’t know about other countries. Sorry.

I am an international student and Penn offered me a very generous package as well. However it is definitely easier to get aid as an international freshman applicant than an international transfer applicant. (easy being a relative term because it is quite difficult to get ANY AID as an international student). I’d call the admissions office if I were you to inquire how many international transfer students are granted FinAid. I belied that 25-50 international freshman applicants receive aid! :)
