Intra-Ivy Transfers into Harvard? Chances? Info? Stories?

Hey, out of the roughly 75 accepted transfers each year, about how many are from other Ivies?

Does Harvard care if an applicant goes to another Ivy or do they prefer to have more diversity over a rival Ivies?

I have a 3.9 at Cornell and I'm thinking of applying for transfer. I don't have a lot of ECs, and certainly no community service or other significant accomplishments.

no community, no significant accomplishments, little ECs. How do you plan on transferring?

You said you don't have a lot of ECs. Do you have at least one you're passionate about?

"Hey, out of the roughly 75 accepted transfers each year,"

Correction:

"out of the 40-ish accepted transfers this year,"

Quite a few transfers to Harvard, historically, come from Cornell, Penn, and Dartmouth, as well as Stanford, Wellesley, and MIT. Your GPA is in the right range, but it will be a problem that you aren't very involved on campus (unless you're devoted to some giant chemistry research project or something).

Columbia has fared rather well my year and not a single Cornell kid entered in the fall of last year...I'm not sure about that this year though.

Duke seems to fare rather well in the process too.
