1) If I transfer within college (i.e. ILR to Hotel, or CALS to A&S), do I lose my previous GPA? I understand that if you transfer externally (i.e. Cornell to Dartmouth), your GPA is gone.

2) Do I have to put two colleges on my resume when I apply for jobs?

Thanks guys.

1) No, you don’t lose your GPA.

2) No, since you’ll still only get your degree from one college.

but wouldnt you have to indicate on your resume somewhere that you transferred to this college?

My resume says “Cornell University/B.A. Economics & Government/Minors International Relations and German Studies” (except with better formatting). My resume has been professionally reviewed so I’m pretty sure that’s standard practice. Secondly, you can put whatever you want on your resume and generally speaking, your resume should be different for different jobs (at least if they are in different fields). No employer will care about your college within the university. Your transfer should show up in your transcript so anywhere you apply will see it there, but they probably won’t even notice it.
