does anyone have the knowledge of how the intramural basketball team in rsf works?
Does students who join the team have to be advanced or any level is fine?
And if I would like to join a team, do I need to know people in the team in order to get in?

the intramural page on rsf site pretty much explains all your questions.

Not sure about basketball, but any level is fine and basketball may even have different levels (A and B, A for better and B for …everyone else. I think they used to have C, but they may have canceled it? Not sure. Again the website is pretty detailed).

I think you can register as free agents, but it’s better to just try and get in with some friends. Aren’t sign-ups tomorrow? Time for people to camp outside RSF… keke

i’ve played IM basketball for a couple of years and it’s pretty simple to sign up. If you have a team just go online(no more waiting outside!) and sign up i think its around $170 for 5v5 with up to 12 players. You can also choose which division B,C,or D. B has some pretty good players whereas D are people you would see just playing pickup games. You can also sign up as a free agent by yourself and they will put you in a team with others. the sign up was last week though haha, i doubt there are many spots left.

I just sign up as a free agent this Thursday. However I am just a beginner level, not sure where they gonna put me in since I didn’t see any level options when signing up

The IM system changed recently (last year I think). It used to be separated into 3 divisions (B, C, D, with B being the most competitive/highest and D being for fun/recreational). Now however, they changed it to Competitive/Non-Competitive divisions. Just check your timeslot and see if you’re in the competitive or non-competitive division on IMOnline.
