If you played a sport in high school, did you play it in college in a club or an intramural? Are they a lot less intense than in high school?

depending on how intense your sports were in high school lol … i did football and track and it was all week long tough practices so Yea club and intramural is definitely less intense … hopefully i make the college track team though im tryna walk on at UMD WISH ME LUCK

they’re more like pick-up games than anything else.

club sports are about the intensity of high school (except with athletes who are in college instead of high school).

Club sports are usually the same as high school. Practices every weekday, higher level of competition.

Intramurals, at least here are pretty intense games, but I don’t think any teams really practice too much. Maybe they’ll go out and play pickup games with their 5 or whatever, but not practice any sets outside of talking about the sets. Definitely a high level of competition in intramurals (maybe not so much in the co-ed), but in the single sex leagues, it’s pretty much all ex-high school players.

And everything I’ve said is just related to basketball. I don’t know how it is for any other sport. The volleyball intramural stuff doesn’t look like there are that great of players, but then again, I come from one of the most competitive high school volleyball conferences in the nation, so I’m probably just used to a higher level of competition.
