Hello all,

This is my first post and I'm in need of some insight.

Background: I am a Michigan resident and my family has lived here for 20 years. My father began working in Indiana two years ago and has an apartment there. He goes every week and lives there for 5 days and comes back on weekends. His residency is still technically from Michigan, but his full income come from Indiana.

I'm currently a freshman attending the University of Michigan-Dearborn. I was accepted into Indiana last year but didn't go because we didn't really know of anyway for us to gain in state tuition fees to go.

I want to transfer to Indiana next semester, and I have to reapply because I'm taking more than 12 credits right now.

My main question is- since my dad is working in Indiana, owns a place there, and gets his income from there- is it possible for me make a claim for in state residency?

(side note: my parents are not separated and my mother lives in Michigan with us)
